A few days ago we read Nina Laden’ book When Pigasso Met Mootise. In the book Pigasso and Mootise turn their houses into giant works of art. We painted blocks inspired by the story. Then we used the blocks to create a stop motion movie. Check it out. Mrs. Procida’s Class Mrs. Hogan’s Class

Once again this year we were invited to participate in and Art Exchange with the Changi campus of The Japanese School. Recently, my grade two classes were learning about landscapes. We worked on foreground, middleground and background. Inspired by Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven, students used, watercolours, coloured pencils, crayons, construction paper and even some masking tape to create beautiful tree filled landscapes. There was lots of fun being had in the art room today. My grade five students helped preK students stamp their initials in to clay, make clay diyas and do some colouring. A great time was had by all. We hope our preK buddies will be back soon.
