Recently my grade five students finished their “Tree of Life Project.” They started by making a clay coil pot and then ‘planting’ the wire tree scupltures in the pot. Things have been pretty sticky in the art room these days. My grade five students have been busy creating tape scupltures. Using wide cello packing tape, the kids created, bottles, shoes, cups and teapots. They also had to find a way to include themselves in the sculpture.
