Recently my grade five students finished their “Tree of Life Project.”  They started by making a clay coil pot and then ‘planting’ the wire tree scupltures in the pot. Then using found objects and shrinky dinks they decorated the trees with symbols of the things that are important to them. Take a look at just a few of the the trees and what the artists had to say about their work.
